Upkar didn't take the typical path. He earned his BCom and LLB from Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, built a foundation in law and business, then moved to Canada in 2012 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015. Since then, he has built a practice centred on real estate, residential and commercial, alongside corporate law, immigration, and wills & estates.
Upkar brings extensive experience in real estate law, with a focus on buying, financing, leasing, and selling commercial, industrial, and residential properties. He regularly acts for builders and developers, large trucking and transportation companies, and financial institutions including private lenders and cross-border financing transactions. His practice also spans corporate and business law and wills & estates, allowing him to provide practical, well-rounded advice that reflects both legal and business realities. His goal is to deliver tailored solutions that align with each client's specific needs and objectives.
What sets him apart isn't just the credentials. Upkar is a national gold medallist in karate, a meditation practitioner, and an active contributor to the Sikh Awareness Foundation. He brings the same discipline and focus to his clients' files that he brings to everything else he does.
